Refund and Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy applies to all courses offered by LilacBush Academic English ("LilacBush"). We want to ensure transparency regarding our refund and cancellation terms.

2. Cancellation by Student

2.1 Cancellation Before Lesson 3 Begins

Students who cancel their enrollment before the start of Lesson 3 (Week 3) are eligible for a full refund of all payments made.

To request a refund:

- Contact us via email or WhatsApp

- Provide your enrollment details and reason for cancellation (optional)

- Refunds will be processed within 14 business daysto the original payment method

2.2 Cancellation After Lesson 3 Begins

Students who cancel their enrollment on or after the start of Lesson 3 (Week 3) are not eligible for a refund.

This policy applies regardless of:

- Whether the student attended all previous lessons

- The student's reason for cancellation

- How much of the course remains

2.3 Installment Plan Considerations

For students enrolled in the Installment Plan (two half-cost payments):

If cancellation occurs before Lesson 3 begins:

- Full refund of all payments made (first installment)

- Second installment not required

If cancellation occurs after Lesson 3 begins:

- No refund of first installment

- Second installment remains due and payable at Lesson 4 (unless alternative arrangement is made)

3. Cancellation by LilacBush

3.1 Course Cancellation

LilacBush reserves the right to cancel a course before it begins due to:

- Insufficient enrollment

- Instructor unavailability

- Unforeseen circumstances

If LilacBush cancels a course before it begins, students will receive:

- Full refund of all payments made

- Notification before the scheduled start date

- Option to transfer to another available course (if applicable)

3.2 Student Removal

LilacBush may remove a student from a course at any time without refund if the student:

- Violates our Terms and Conditions for Course Enrollment

- Engages in disruptive, disrespectful, or dishonest behavior

- Fails to make required full or installment payments on time

4. Missed Lessons

4.1 Student Absence

Individual missed lessons due to student absence are not eligible for refunds or individual rescheduling.

4.2 Instructor Absence

If a lesson is cancelled due to instructor unavailability or technical issues on LilacBush's side:

- The lesson will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time

- No refund is provided for rescheduled lessons

- If rescheduling is not possible, a full or partial refund for the missed lesson may be provided at LilacBush's discretion

5. Technical Issues

5.1 Student Technical Issues

Refunds are not provided for technical difficulties on the student's side, including:

- Internet connectivity problems

- Device malfunctions

- Inability to access Lessonspace or Canvas due to student error

Students are encouraged to test their technical setup before the course begins and contact us immediately if issues arise.

5.2 Platform Technical Issues

If technical issues with Lessonspace or Canvas prevent course delivery:

- Lessons will be rescheduled when possible

- LilacBush will make reasonable efforts to provide alternative access to materials

- Refunds may be considered if technical issues cannot be resolved within a reasonable timeframe

6. Course Transfers

Students may request to transfer to a different course cohort before Lesson 3 begins, subject to:

- Availability in the desired cohort

- Written approval from LilacBush

- No additional fees (if transferring to the same course type)

7. Special Circumstances

In cases of serious illness, family emergency, or other extenuating circumstances beyond the student's control, LilacBush may consider exceptions to this policy on a case-by-case basis.

To request consideration:

- Contact us as soon as possible

- Provide relevant explanation and documentation (if applicable)

- LilacBush will review and respond within 5 business days

Note: Approval of exceptions is at LilacBush's sole discretion and is not guaranteed.

8. Refund Processing

8.1 Refund Method

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for enrollment:

- Payoneer refunds processed through Payoneer

- PayPal refunds processed through PayPal

8.2 Processing Time

Refunds will be processed within 14 business days of approval. Please note that the time it takes for refunds to appear in your account depends on your payment provider's processing times.

8.3 Transaction Fees

If payment processing fees were deducted from your original payment, the refund amount will reflect the net amount received by LilacBush.

9. No-Show Policy

Students who do not attend the introductory call or the first lesson without prior notice may be considered a "no-show." No-show students:

- Forfeit their enrollment

- Are not eligible for refunds

- Must re-apply and re-pay if they wish to enroll in the future

11. Governing Law

This Refund and Cancellation Policy is governed by the laws of Ukraine. Any disputes arising from this Refund and Cancellation Policy shall be resolved in accordance with Ukrainian law.

12. Changes to This Policy

LilacBush reserves the right to modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy at any time. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Note: The policy in effect at the time of your enrollment will apply to your course.

By enrolling in a LilacBush course, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to this Refund and Cancellation Policy.
